In Calling, three characters circle each other with equal parts suspicion and intrigue. Their bodies are caught in a continuous loop of advancing and retreating, moving away and towards each other with both pleasure and disgust. The choreographer, Ofelia Jarl Ortega, uses this dynamic to examine the complex power relations within a collective. Through choreographic games and playful scenarios, the performers offer themselves to each other to be used, downtrodden, deified, teased, or pleasured, exploring the tension between maintaining the status quo and the overwhelming curiosity to break it.

My involvement formed the operational backbone of the production. As the Project Coordinator, I was responsible for translating the artistic vision into a smoothly run reality. My duties spanned the entire project lifecycle, from the initial administrative groundwork of drafting and managing contracts to orchestrating the complex logistics of rehearsals, schedules, and technical requirements.

While the performers navigated the intricate dynamics on stage, my work ensured they had the supported and structured environment necessary to do so. By serving as the central communication hub and handling all practical details—from budget tracking to venue coordination—I insulated the creative team. This allowed them to fully immerse themselves in the work's complex physicality and emotional depth without logistical distraction.
