Căng Tin is a research project focusing on food, applied arts, and crafts originating from Vietnam. Its objective is to highlight the expertise from its various regions and provinces.

The term "căng tin – canteen" shares the same etymological root in the three languages in which the project was presented: Vietnamese, English, and French.

The project's name was chosen for its participatory and sharing-oriented nature. This place evokes food, furniture, and the objects found within it. Through its layout, it also invites dialogues and discussions involving the sharing and transmission of vernacular knowledge.

This research served as a preambule for Quang Vinh Nguyen’s publication, Objets Vietnamiens/ Vietnamese Objects published in 2025 by Triest
