Visual augmentations by Dexter Maurer for A$AP Rocky’s Highjack music video in collaboration with Thibaut Grevet (Artistic Direction), Division (Production), and 1080p.world (Post-Production). Drawing from cinematic references such as Mad God, Le Voyage sur la Lune, and Crimes of the Future, the project merges miniature model aesthetics, matte paintings, and surreal prosthetics to create a tactile, dreamlike atmosphere that bridges handcrafted visual effects and contemporary music imagery.
As the Producer for artist Dexter Maurer, I managed the integration of his visual augmentations into the high-profile music video. My role was centered on project management and operational execution, specifically acting as the main liaison between the artist and the post-production team at 1080p.world.
A key responsibility was the negotiation and management of our service contracts, ensuring clear terms for the delivery of video augmentations and animations. I oversaw the entire asset delivery pipeline, requiring meticulous planning and problem-solving to align the artistic vision with the technical and creative demands of the post-production workflow. This ensured that the unique, handcrafted visual effects were seamlessly integrated, maintaining their artistic integrity while meeting the project's stringent deadlines.
